PCB Assembly

Surface mount technology is currently the most effective method for manufacturing modern electronic circuits.

At our plant, SMT (Surface Mount Technology) assembly is the foundation of modern electronics, carried out on automated lines, which allows for high precision in component placement. We use a unique cell-based machine layout, allowing us to execute up to 6 different projects simultaneously.

Every process begins with the precise application of solder paste using automatic screen printing, which is crucial for the subsequent durability of the connections. Professional PCB assembly in SMT technology allows for significant miniaturization of devices while maintaining their high current and signal performance.

Surface mount assembly at BaZeKo - what do you gain?

By cooperating with us, you gain access to the latest achievements in the field of automatic assembly. Our SMT surface mount assembly is supported by AOI optical inspection systems, which verify the correct placement of every component after the reflow soldering process. We ensure that the thermal profiles in our ovens are perfectly matched to the specific characteristics of the laminate used, the components, and the nature of the given project. As an experienced supplier, we know that high-quality PCB assembly is the foundation of the reliability of the devices we manufacture.

Our offer is not limited only to SMT assembly; it also includes contract electronics manufacturing services, which allows for the full delegation of the device production processes.

SMT assembly

For our clients, not only the technology matters, but also process consulting. By choosing our SMT surface mount assembly, you receive design support and verification for errors and manufacturability, which translates into smooth execution in mass production. We conduct a thorough first article inspection before launching the entire series, as well as a meticulous AOI inspection of every board after PCB assembly based on IPC-A-610 (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies).

We believe that professional contract electronics manufacturing should be accessible to companies of various scales of operation, which is why our SMT assembly lines are optimized for quick changeovers. We have the capability to simultaneously execute many different projects on various machines, which gives us great flexibility in fulfilling orders and a quick response time to urgent requests. We encourage you to contact our technology department to discuss the details of your project.

Electronics manufacturing at BaZeKo

How does the SMT process work?

1

Solder paste application:
We use precise screen printers that guarantee the perfect dose of solder paste for every component.

2

Automatic assembly (Pick & Place):
Our Siemens Siplace machines place components on the laminate with high speed and precision.

3

Reflow soldering:
The process takes place in multi-zone ovens, where precisely selected thermal profiles ensure a durable connection without the risk of overheating sensitive circuits.

4

Every cycle ends with rigorous inspection to eliminate errors such as missing components, polarity issues, misalignments, solder shorts, poor solder joint quality, component marking issues, or mechanical damage.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the smallest electronic components you can mount using SMT technology?

Our machinery park handles SMD components with a minimum size of 0201 (0.6 mm x 0.3 mm). Thanks to Siemens Siplace pick-and-place machines and precise screen printers, we also mount advanced integrated circuits, RFID modules (IoT, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth), and large-sized components while maintaining the highest process repeatability.

Every assembly passes through Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) after the reflow soldering process. This allows for the detection of possible misalignments, short circuits, or missing components. The entire quality control process at BaZeKo is based on the international IPC-A-610 standard.

Yes, we carry out assembly both with components supplied by the client and with components sourced by our logistics department. In the case of consigned materials, we verify their compliance with the provided technical documentation before launching production.
